During the Cold War, the Russians managed to get one of their diesel submarines stuck on a rock in Swedish territorial waters.

Now that the Cold War is over, another similar sub is a largely ignored white elephant, floating in the harbor.

   

The engine room.

It reminds me of the heady days of Sputnik and Yuri Gagarin when the wold trembled at the sound of our rockets. Now they will tremble again - at the sound of our silence. The order is: engage the silent drive.
